People who know me well, know that I love dresses of all kinds! Lately however, I've been obsessed with shirt dresses, and my closet holds a good number of them in different styles and colors. It's a piece I'd never get tired of. It's one of those casual still edgy and versatile outfits, and I can totally style it differently by adding some minimal touches such as adding a belt or a tie to the waist or pairing it with a blazer and/or boots.
This silk shirt dress is a must have in my list. Since the fabric is lightly heavier, It won't get wrinkled easily, and also it is in a perfect color for the season. Its' length makes it perfect to pair it with my favorite over the knee boots for the current season or with sandals or sneakers when it's warmer. The relaxed and straight cut of the dress makes it sophisticated and effortless, but it's not too wide, which is why it flows on the body and looks very feminine.
Unlike some people, I'm a believer that there is no limit on wearing dresses based on the climate. There are so many ways to extend wearing such a piece into Winter. As I mentioned earlier, boots are one of the solutions. On Winter days, when I wear a short dress or a skirt, I'd always reach for my boots. Over the knee boots take the whole look to another level, and a dress which hits right above the boots always is a perfect option. These boots have been one of the biggest trends for the past couple of years, and I'm sure they won't go out of style anytime soon, so make sure you keep a pair in your wardrobe collections.
Would you wear dresses in Winter? Would you rather style them with boots or sneakers?
