When it comes to Fall or Winter, I’m most excited for my wardrobe transition in terms of color and comfort! Although I love playing with vibrant colors in Summer, the neutral tones of Fall are my absolute favorites!
Styles change from season to season, and that’s one reason I usually don’t spend too much on a specific style/trend! However, this season I totally fell in love with the earthy tones of brown and how easy we can incorporate them in our day to day outfits, and it also is the easiest way to get more use of my wardrobes.
Color blocking has been around for years, and I’ve been into it throughout different seasons. Color blocking is the easiest way to put together a total outfit if you are not comfortable with color coordinating various shades. Basically, this trend means when you put together different pieces of an outfit with the different tones of the same color. Color blocking is most useful for people who don’t feel comfortable mixing and matching colors. So many of the famous fashion designers agree on one point: “If you're color-blocking in 2018, keep your palette restrained to those three primary colors. With this limited collection, you can focus on the graphic combination of these hues. The more saturated the shade, the better.”

The look I put together for this outfit, is a mixture of various tones of brown and nude, and I combined it with snake print skirt to give it some texture! Snake print is another popular trend of the season! I’ve seen so much of this print on fashion pages and social media, and it will definitely be around for quite some time! The benefit of choosing a print in this particular outfit, or any other color blocking outfit, is that this particular piece makes the whole attire a little less mute. While the jacket and the top are the same exact color, the snake print of the skirt is the focal point and draws more attention to the look. I like the fact that this piece is dressy but still simple and easy to mix with all the neutral tones. My shoes and clutch follow the same direction and match the whole earthy shade of the look, while they make it dressier and more formal.

When it comes to skin and makeup, I rather keep it clean and follow the earthy tones for eyeshadows.
Skin consists of a medium coverage foundation, I used Clinique Beyond Perfection foundation, and topped it with L'oreal Infallible face powder to keep it matte throughout the day! The eyeliner is my all time favorite Inglot gel liner in black, which is so creamy and the blackest I've ever used. I kept my lips neutral with a L'oreal nude matte lipstick to draw more attention to the eyes!
Let me know what you guys think of this look!
