Today, I’d like to share my obsession for the Winter outfits/looks and how I would like to style them. Back in the days when I was younger, the only thing that would get me excited for the arrival of the cooler seasons was the winter fashion. Taking my boots, winter coats, and more baggy dresses and jackets out of the closet could give me so many wardrobe ideas, and how to style different pieces was a pure enjoyment for me. However, I feel quite the opposite the past few years, and my love for cooler temperature has grown much more, and I want to share a couple of reasons “why” in this post. Layering Different Pieces Since we usually don’t get many cold days in California, as soon as the temperature drops a little, I feel like I’ve a good excuse to have layers over layers of clothes, even when I’m staying home! If I aim for a dress for the day, I make sure to have a nice thiner shirt (probably with collar) underneath. I may or may not get my stockings depends on the temperature. And it’s obvious that I carry a structured coat or jacket to either wear or simply hold on my shoulders (for more of a relaxed look). Layering different pieces makes me feel more sophisticated while I have the option to leave a layer out if I feel a little warm. Slick High Knee Boots It’s obvious that I prefer heels over flats, and that’s something people around me know very well. However, I’ve to admit it’s not always easy to pull off some of the heels in my closet specially if I’ve to wear them all day long. But the Stuart Weitzman, highland, over the knee boots are absolutely one of my most comfortable heels, and I’ve used them more than any other pair of shoes I own. Although they have been in market for quite some time already, they still look good with any outfit, and they haven’t gone out of style yet. These boots fit very flattering on the legs and reach above the knees, which makes the layering style look even more winter chic. Winter Grays The urge to buy more of dark clothing pieces grows with me unintentionally during cold seasons. The fabric and texture of the pieces are completely in contrast with the Spring brights. Chunky knits and dark or even muted colors are incredibly easy to mix and match for the cold, and fifty shades of grey come to play this season. This is when I never get afraid of putting together the same color clothing, or mix and match different pieces. I feel l can rock a head to toe grey outfit for a rainy or frosty day, and the day after I can totally add some burgundy to my palette and change the whole mood over. What’s your favorite season? How would you like to style for that season?
